Rust-proof & Corrosion-resistant Stainless Steel Material
Common carbon steel lock washers rust easily in humid, acidic, or outdoor environments, causing loss of locking function. Our AISI 304/316 stainless steel (grade A2/A4) contains high chromium content, forming a dense passivation film on the surface that completely isolates oxygen and moisture. Even after long-term exposure to marine climates, chemical environments, or rain, it remains bright and free from red rust or pitting. This means your fastening system requires no frequent washer replacement, making it ideal for harsh conditions such as marine, food equipment, and outdoor construction.

Long Service Life with High Wear Resistance
The passivated stainless steel split washer has high surface hardness with no plating peeling issues; zinc-plated carbon steel versions also have a protective layer. During repeated assembly and disassembly with bolts and nuts, the washer contact surfaces resist wear, galling, or deformation. The elastic split structure has passed fatigue tests, enduring hundreds of thousands of compression-recovery cycles without permanent deformation. Therefore, in applications requiring regular maintenance or subject to high vibration (e.g., automotive chassis, construction machinery), this product maintains its anti-loosening performance over the long term, greatly reducing replacement frequency and maintenance costs.

Metal Material for Tightening & Anti-Loosening
The core function of a split lock washer is to generate continuous clamping force through elastic deformation. 65Mn spring steel offers high elastic limit after heat treatment, while 304/316 stainless steel also provides excellent tensile strength (≥500MPa). When the nut is tightened, the split washer is flattened, storing elastic energy that pushes back against the nut, increasing the friction torque between threads and effectively resisting loosening caused by vibration and impact. Unlike nylon or rubber locking devices, metal lock washers do not age or become brittle, maintaining stable clamping force from -40°C to high temperatures.
